Tack & Tiny Props

Among the various scales in Model Horses, many of us work in Traditional (1:9 scale) and Stablemate (1:64) and find need for Little tack and props, much of which is not as easy to find as Classic/“dollhouse scale” (1/12).  Luckily, there are talented makers and new technologies that allow
for 3D printing in a variety of scales.

Gotta try on some new stuff!
First up is a Huntseat Set by the talented Abigail Carlson who included a note that I may need a longer girth... she is right.  Great craftsmanship and just checking size and fit for now.  Eventually I will get photos all set up properly.  Fun to show the real horse folk who haven’t seen our stuff!

Beautiful!

Fabulous Susan Bensema Young / Timaru Star II  Draft halter!
I have always wanted a piece by her and am inspired by her amazing Guide to Making Tack
Incredible detail in her work and I enjoy that she shares her process.

More to come and the fun of little props and supplies.

Have a safe and happy weekend everybody!
