My friend Sara and I like to give each other little challenges in Painting - a color, style, medium, a breed or mold, or like in this case, an animal.
This is the Breyer OF hen with chicks. I was given a blank from the farm set and told any color other than what Breyer has made.
So I look at all the colorful plumage of various chicken breeds.
Delicate barred feathers...
Couldn’t recall what it was - Wikipedia and poultry pages led me to this.
What do you think? Is it an improvement?
In my college years I was commended for painting detail on a 2D chicken. This was a fun little project! Now I want eggs...
